Album Art for Byu Choirs and Eric Whitacre 2 Eric Whitacre Byu Choirs and Eric Whitacre 2 A Boy and a Girl [Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

Eric Whitacre’s A Boy and A Girl is kind of happy, but also sad. Says a whole lot in 29 (by my count) unique words.

Stretched out Stretched out on the grass a boy and a girl. Savoring their oranges, giving their kisses likes waves exchanging foam.

Stretched out Stretched out on the beach a boy and a girl. Savoring their limes, giving their kisses like clouds exchanging foam.

Stretched out Stretched out underground a boy and a girl. Saying nothing, never kissing giving silence for silence

Eric Whitacre’s Cloudburst being performed in what looks to be some type of televised Chinese choral competition. As with all Whitacre pieces, it benefits from listening to the whole thing build.

My favorite part of this, though, is Whitacre’s reaction:

If you would have told me about this video 19 years ago (when I was writing Cloudburst in a dorm room in Las Vegas) I would have thought you were from Mars.
